I put a poll up on my website this past sunday and i just checked it today to see if i have any results to my surprise i have 2 votes for yes and 0 for no so so far apparently some people wanna bother following me on twitter lol I vote "go for it". Can't hurt, right? If you already have a facebook account for your webcasts, you can link the two together so what you post on facebook is posted on your Twitter. Hassle-free really. I dont have a facebook, and personally I dont care to get one, i mean MAYBE and thats a big maybe, ill give in but at the moment if I can help it I dont want one lol but all i keep getting "You on facebook?" and thats more from personal instead of professional inquires lol Fb's been a really good networking tool for me. I got my first paid job as an actor through an audition posting there and it's been really useful for connecting me to the rest of the film community. Don't know if the same would work for the audience you're trying to get. Some twitter success today! Joined a webseries chat that was happening on twitter and got some more eyes and interest on DG.

Yeah, it worked a LOT better than I thought it would. Other people started tweeting about the show and a few orgs have asked me for more detailed information about it because of that chat.

I'd love to promote GameJams, even though BlisteredThumbs will be helping out a ton.

I've been using hashtags (#) a lot - don't know how familiar you are with them, I only learned about them once I started using Twitter. The hashtag I use most frequently is #webseries and I started noticing that a lot of the people who were using #webseries were also using #webserieschat. Turns out it's a weekly conversation on Wednesdays from about 11am-12pm (PST) where people talk about the projects they're working on and general webseries stuff. Such is the nature of twitter that it kind of ends up being a messy free for all but it was fun and it definitely got at least a few more eyeballs on DoGooders. If you do a search for "#webserieschat" you should be able to see the messages from yesterday and get an idea for what trying to have a discussion on twitter is like. To join future Wednesday discussions all you have to do is add #webserieschat somewhere in your tweet.

Twitter is like a hammer with a chainsaw attached to it it can be used for dismembering zombies or ticking off politicians. Either way, it's one amazing tool!

Whoa, this was informative. I have twitter, but as of yet I don't really have any followers. I use the same SN for everywhere and everything, so @neuroplay will find you a lot of stuff really. It's like sending a text message, to the world. Really that's it. People can ignore texts on their phone, so they can ignore texts on their interwebs. It's more of a one-way communication thing. A lot like a forum actually, only huge!
