Army of Darkness was so awesome because it was so intentionally bad. The funniest one-liners, slapstick comedy, and Bruce Campbell; they all make it awesome. Some of the bits in Army of Darkness were pure comedic genius:
- the stick fighting: "Hah! Hoo! Hyaa! Haa! Repeat"
- the car pimped out into a giant lawnmower machine
- the chemistry books conveniently in the back of the car's trunk
- "BOOMSTICK!"
- "Klaatu... verata... n... Necktie. Nectar. Nickel. Noodle."
- "Klaatu barada n-*cough cough*.... Okay, I said it!"
- "Baby, you got REAL ugly..."
- "Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart."
- the final scene in S-Mart shooting the demon witch as she's bouncing around on the trampoline.
"Hail to the King, baby!"
It's an intentionally campy movie, and it is one of my all-time favorites.
