Man, I just finished studying American history recently, and I can only facepalm at this movie; did you know Nixon was the first president to not only go to China, but negotiate for detente between the Communists and Americans? What is detente? Try the shrinking of tensions between the two sides in the Cold War. Did you know he also won America over by a massive landslide, and was hugely popular? Why was this? BECAUSE HE WAS A GOOD PRESIDENT. His only major flaws happened in his second term during the Watergate Scandal, but other than that he was a good president who did a lot of beneficial things for America and the world.

The Watergate Scandal really crushed his presidency, plus he inherited the Vietnam War from President Johnson (much like Obama inherited the Iraq War), so automagically Nixon is considered a bum president. And people who like to vilify conservative presidents always point at Nixon.

Oliver Stone is just another Hollywood psychopath who thinks that middle-America are stupid bumpkins who need their political enlightenment, regardless of how incredibly stupid their views are. Fuck him.

Not everyone in Hollywood is evil:

Quote:
Nicholas Cage has entered a world of financial hardship in which he blames his longtime business partner and this has now caused the actor to lose 2 homes this week to foreclosure.

Two of the historic French Quarter homes were purchased in a foreclosure auction Thursday.

The houses went for $4.5 million – about two-thirds the appraised value – to Cage’s lender, Regions bank, the lone bidder. Movers were seen clearing Cage’s belongings on Friday.

This is so sad but brighter news Johnny Depp has offered to help Cage out financially as Cage is in hot water with a 3.5 million dollar tax bill.

deppJohnny wants to help his friend by paying him back for starting his career off.

“Johnny called Nic and basically told him not to worry and he’d help him and sort everything out,” says a friend.

“Johnny feels he owes his career to Nic and now wants to repay him – if Nic agrees.”

Apparently when Johnny Depp was a struggling actor Nicolas Cage helped him out and got him an intro to his agent which then led to “Nightmare on Elm Street” and you know the rest.

Johnny has never forgotten who was there for him in tough times.

Just one little nit-pick: Oliver Stone didn't direct Kingdom of Heaven, Ridley Scott did.

*HOMER SIMPSON "DOH!"*

I crossed out that part of my rant. I could have sworn that Oliver Stone had his grubby mits on Kingdom of Heaven... Thanks for the clarification m8!

I'll never look at Depp the same way again... for the better. Unfortunately, I'm still gunna hate on Sweeney Todd after Hirugashi.

Damn, that really is a heartwarming story that there are some good actors who are also good people. Maybe Karma does exist.

I wrapped up Higurashi this weekend. I'll unveil what I have after I compile it all together with you and ONOE.

Is it no wonder why Johnny Depp is the sexiest man alive?

I guess I can excuse his collaborations with Tim Burton which, for me, are getting slightly more and more obnoxious with every movie. I'm not looking forward to Alice In Wonderland after actually reading the two books (I'm in the beginning of Through The Looking-Glass), but I'll (begrudgingly) go see it to see if it's any good. If Johnny Depp's the star of the show when it should be Alice, I'll probably hate it. Anyway, Depp is a great guy, and he's certainly not the person I dislike in the duo. It's Tim Burton.
