The Prince of Persia had cool effects and I don't give a crap about what race the prince is since he's white in the games too, but Prince of Persia didn't wow me like the first Pirates of the Carribean movie did way back. I hated the twist ending to Book of Eli but the rest was cool. There was too much in the A Team that pissed me off. The first 20 minutes blew my mind and then they had to FLY A TANK and that scene ruined the whole movie for me but at least it wasn't as shitty as the stupid tv show where you watch one episode and you saw them all.

@ Tron, True Grit...
I stick to dvd rentals so I can't make a 2010 list worth a damn.

Is Girl with the Dragon Tattoo an action movie like La Femme Nikita? If it is then sign me up for some of that!

Yeah I will probably will have to wait to get rentals of them or just buy them since its just about worth it

as far as tank flying/falling: I thought it was believable and funny as hell. I just dont think any of them would have survived though.

I am not quite sure how Pixar can take an average story and make it something fantastic, but they never cease to amaze me with their work. I believe that after Disney lost the Disney Magic that Pixar carried on the spirit of what an animated feature can be in its fullest.

Heh :| Once I turn of my browser and go to sleep, everyone suddenly turns civil and starts politely and informatively giving their top 5s :? *Sigh* Why does all the fun always happen when I'm not around? Anyway, here's my Top 5 Movies of 2010 That I Saw:
1) Toy Story 3 - I've been a fan of the first two movies ever since I was kid, so, of course, I couldn't wait for the release of the third film. Needless to say, the movie didn't disappoint. If anything, it even exceeded all of my expectations. All of my favorite characters, an interesting and touching story, the cosy atmosphere and even some profound morals - all of this made this movie an instant winner on my list.
2) The Inception - As a big fan of Christopher Nolan's work, I was looking forward to this movie. A unique premise, an interesting and sophisticated story, humane and relatable characters, (once again) some deep morals and an Anachronic Order of events (man, I'm a sucker for that technique :D) - a great original movie and one of the best action films I've seen in years.
3) Shutter Island - As a big fan of the psychological thrillers, this movie was like an early Christmas to me. I'm not going to reiterate the "interesting story, good characters..." statement, but I'll say this - a movie that succeeds in engrossing me and leaving sitting at the edge of my seat up until the very end just to see what happens next - is a one hell of a great movie!
4) Ghost Writer - Honestly, I was surprised when LaughingMan brought it up, 'cos while I enjoyed the movie a whole lot, I didn't see it get a lot of recognition or mentioning in a lot of "Top X of Y" Lists. And that's a shame 'cos the movie was a great political thriller with an interesting mystery story. Not as impressive as Shutter Island, but one hell of a good thriller!
5) Scott Pilgrim vs The World - Never read the original comic-book or played the game, so I wasn't sure what to expect from the movie, other than all the "This is going to be an ultimate movie for geeks" hype swirling on the Internet. Needless to say, not the best kind of advertisement for those like me, who seek something profound and innovative in movies, but, surprisingly, the movie turned out to great. I never considered myself to be a "hardcore" gamer, but I've got most of the pop-culture and video-game references, and while the first 20 minutes of the film were ... strange (and slow for that matter), but the rest was pure awesomeness! :D
Notable mentions: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, The A-Team, Despicable Me.

I just saw shutter island earlier this week on Netflix, good movie! I liked it alot. I watched it with my mom and we even did one or two double takes and rewinds with some scenes because we werent sure if we saw what we saw. Bit sad though.

Shutter Island
Toy Story 3
Black Swan
Despicable Me
Splice

That's 5 movies I can remember, and even I'm not sure if they were all in 2010.
