The weird thing is when I saw the teaser trailer for this film. I thought it was a new Pixar film. Nope. It's a DisneyToon Studios film. Here's a video. If some of you didn't see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkEWle6x ... r_embeddedAlso here's article talking about the upcoming film. http://www.slashfilm.com/disneys-carssp ... r-trailer/Wait... whuuuuuut?? So, DisneyToon Studios is making a non-quite-so-blatant-Cars-ripoff? I thought that the days of DisneyToon sequels was gone with Eisner?

Does it count as a rip-off, if the director of Cars is the executive producer? Essentially, John Lasseter cancelled them making direct-to-video sequels, but spin-offs are a-okay. That's why he's a producer on the Tinker Bell movies.
As for this, it could work. I like the Cars movies and they have talking airplanes in that universe. That said, I'm not super-pumped to see this.

I guess Pixar wanted to get away from making a franchise that extended past Cars 2, so they let their moneylovin partners at Disney make this spinoff possible. As for Pixar, they have cooler things to work on, like Brave!
