hey, point that fan of being a bayformer fan somewhere else. The only thing I am defending is that this is by far not the worse movie I have seen. You can sit through this and enjoy it even when having a brain. some things in the review are spot on, others not so. No, you didn't say it was the worst, but at the same time you are encouraging people NOT to go see this (I would say not to pay full price) but, that is where our opinions differ. either way we still agree that Bay is messing up the Transformers and they need to get a better guy in there directing.

My only fear is that with the critical backlash from almost everyone, there's not going to be a third TF movie, and if there is, they might get someone WORSE to direct it: Brett Ratner (X-Men 3), John R. Leonetti (Mortal Kombat: Annihilation), Paul Anderson (AvP), Uwe Boll (shit).

Haha, so I take it you have not seen any of Uwe Boll's stuff, right? Go rent either "House of the Dead" or "Alone in the Dark" if you want to watch film-making at its worst... though I doubt I could honestly do better... well, I could at least write something better.

nah, I don't watch any horror films. I really don't understand how people can get into them nor do I really want to. I pretty much leave them alone.

I actually defend this movie because I did not think it was terrible like everybody thinks. Quote: I actually saw the movie and thought it was pretty good. A lot more action than the first because the characters have been previously explained.
a lot more explosions because that is Michael Bay's thing - all GFX
Megan Fox is sluttier and Shia is even more stupid and annoying than the first. Hell the whole movie feels dumbed down a lot but at least there is a lot less of the forced drama -especially the stupid goddamned parents and their fucking Chihuahua... a part of me died when i saw that in the first movie.
oh and Megatron is back! fuck yeah! the best thing about the live-CGI movies are the Megatron redesigns.
go out and see the movie, you can't spend $10 on anything else anyawys I still think it is a decent way to spend $10. And for a 2 and a half hour long movie of stuff blowing up it's actually cheap entertainment for the price. Like $4 per hour or something. but I back Zimes who did like it for what it was. -AX

im not saying that they are great movies but as far as entertainment value goes they are by far not the worst. * cough batman and robin *cough now if your review mentioned that movie as a bad movie I would have no problem with it but, since you like to nit-pick about decent (not great) movies that puts you in the same boat as Roger Ebert. whore

I enjoyed movies like "Mortal Kombat" and "Silent Hill" for the excellent fighting sequences and the visual artistry respectively. But there are some movies that are overhyped pieces of crap that are blockbusters because they either have a 14-year old girl fanbase (TWILIGHT) or is directed by a man who invests 2-and-a-half-hours in special effects and fart-jokes over character development, plot, story continuity, and shifting the basis of a movie towards a teenage 'nerd-gets-the-hot-girl' movie (TRANSFORMERS). Twilight and Transformers movies don't deserve to be the big money makers they have become, and that is one of my real beefs. If they were movies that came and went without the fan-fare (like MK and SH) then I wouldn't hate them as much. Also, with SH and MK I GOT WHAT I EXPECTED. With, say, Transformers, I didn't get shit. I expected some sweet action sequences and a decent plot (ala the cartoon movie) but all I got was teen drama and dogs fucking. LaffTrax said it best: Quote: At its heart, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a love story. A love story between two dogs, Mojo and Frankie, who are shown humping several times in the first fifteen minutes of the movie*. Stunningly, this remains a highlight over the next two hours of movie. We don't see much of the dogs after their owner, Shia LaBeouf, leaves for college, but we found our thoughts frequently drifting back to them as the human characters dropped their pants, ran into things, and stammered incoherently. Who was feeding the dogs? Were they getting along with the other dogs at the dog park? How was Frankie adapting to the new diet the vet had put him on back in June? Sadly, these questions go unanswered. In fact, any question you may have regarding Transformers will go unanswered, because Transformers movies are not in the business of answering your questions. Transformers movies are like the street corner rantings of a tinfoil hat wearing lunatic. You don't expect that guy to actually stop and explain to you what he meant by "The IRS built Yellowstone National Park on the same evening 180 years ago that the Lizard People shot down Sputnik with a rifle made from Avogadro's Number!" You just slink past him and try to wash the spittle off of your jacket when you get home. The same applies for Transformers. Don't you dare ask it "How did these characters whose names I don't know get to this location and what is their purpose once they get there and who is punching who right now?" Just lie back and think of the dogs. Focus on the dogs...Always on the dogs...
