Sooooo..... Anybody see this bad boy yet?
Zimes, resident Transformers nut, sent me an email a few days ago threatening not to visit CCS until he sees TF3 because he knows that we'll ruin the movie for him (if Bay didn't do that already) with our hardass criticisms.
In the meantime, if you want to defend Transformers 3 or rip it apart, have at it!

The fx are bigger than the other movies so it is worth watching just for all of that but its not something I would wait in line. If you imagine Transformers 2 without most of the dumb stuff and better fx that is what you get for your money.

Shia Labeouf is the best 25 year old actor for playing a screaming teenage pussy.

I don't have to try hard to guess why he doesn't want to read the comments before he sees the movie for himself. Every one under the sun is telling every one else to hate this movie but I don't think it's fair to walk in and watch the movie after being influenced by other peoples' opinions. If the critics are right then let me be the judge of that after I watch it myself.

Y'know, I'm not sure if I even wanna see this one (at least not in the opening week, 'cos that shit is going to make millions even without my aid)... I know, I know, SoothSlayer is right when he says that you shouldn't judge a film before you've seen it, but tell me: What's the point in going when I already know that most likely I'm going to get disappointed? Besides, whilst, just like WatchRemotely's said, they've removed some of the dumber stuff (Autobot Heaven, Megan Fox, Devastator's balls, those wigger bots, Megan Fox, and etc.), if the critics and fans are right, the story is still nonsensical and convoluted, the characters are even more shallow and unlikable; plus, while the special effects and the number of robots on screen have been increased, it only makes the action seem more hectic and illegible — in other words, one step forward, two steps back... Yeah, I know the Bayformers are an easy target to bash on and stuff, but I just can't help but feel biased since pretty much the entire trilogy embodies everything I despise in the current state of the film industry (i.e., all spectacle, no substance)!

My brother and I are probably gonna go see it, but we .. well i should say I dont have any high expectations about this film even before the critics gave in their two cents.
My brothers friends online have praised that the majority of the film is fighting, supposibly (cant spell) including the last hour of the film is just one big fight scene.
But if any of you listen to my podcast youll know i have no great love for the film and in fact im at a more annoyed point I dont have to see it in theaters I could very comfortably wait for it to come to DVD but like I said probably gonna go see it with my brother within a week or so.

I'm just back from seeing it. I'll let Zimes see it before I share what I have to say about it .

Ok I went a saw the movie and I was surprised by it. its like he heard what the people were saying about the second movie and decided to fix it. the only thing better would have been to keep those wigger bots in the movie and have them die like the bitches they are within the first 5 minutes. although it will be tough to make a 4th movie if they decided to do so.

I thought it was a gigantic improvement over the second movie, and the inclusion of this model as Megan Fox's replacement (Sorry, I don't know her name) was a very good choice on Bay's part. Megan had no charisma, and her character was very monotone. This new girl, on the other hand, actually had a range of emotions that she presented, and it thus presented some real drama. Love, compassion, anger, sorrow. If only she was in Jonah Hex (I liked that film despite the other ridiculous elements, like the minigun horse. Escapism, remember? ) instead of Megan Fox. But to the film itself, I felt it was a massive improvement, but it dragged on a little too long. Too many special effects and action scenes, because I was desensitized and bored by the end . But other than that, even though there were still some laugh-out-loud moments that may have been out of place in a giant robot film (they were still good moments, mind you), I thought it was much better than its predecessor.
