@SOPA: Okay, it's oficial. The American Judicial System is in the gutter. Real killers like Casey Marie Anthony are being released left and right 'cos, "HERP DERP! Who cares if she's the last person to ever see the poor girl and was blatantly lying to the cops and overall acting extreeeemely suspicious throughout the majority of the investigation? Circumstantial evidence, bitchez!", while some poor fella can get thrown into prison for the rest of his life just for uploading a friggin' Michael Jackson album.

This, my friends, is one of those moments when you realize that "law" and "justice" are two cardinally different terms. Not that we don't see evidence of that on a daily basis.

However, by the look of things, I'd say what your country really needs is more cold-blooded, inexorable, and ruthless prosecutors who can make sure a criminal gets what he deserves, instead of allowing the defense to turn the court into a public attraction and manipulating the feelings of the jury. By that I, of course, mean the good ol' "Look at my client. Do you honestly believe that she, a mother, could inflict harm upon her child? Of course, the prosecution has done an admirable job prooving that my client was acting mighty suspicious during the investigation and, hell, all the four-hundred pieces of evidence presented sure don't paint my client in a favorable light. But think about it for a second... [Lots of bluffing and not-so-subtle playing on the jury's heartstrings ensue]."

Now, this shit wouldn't happen if this guy was in charge of the investigation:




But really, what good is the law if murderers and rapists walk free even if it's bloody obvious it couldn't have been anyone but them? *I'm so including this question into one of my cases*
