Cheshire Cat Studios Flier Contest

Alright, those that have taken a chance on this site have usually liked it enough to contribute in one way or another. Along with the scavenger hunt that will be going along at the end of the month we will have another contest to help spread the word of Cheshirecatstudios.com

A lot of us like this site and want it to grow but word of mouth is only going so far and waiting for google, yahoo, or bing to help bring in traffic only goes so far. We all go to game stores, movie stores, Coffee shops, and even sometimes comic shops and computer stores. We might start up a conversation at the counter and mention Cheshire cat but at the end of the day the merchant has forgotten the name and we probably didn’t get any new hits because of it.

So here is our chance to help out. The contest will be: come up with a flyer that we can host here on the site and be able to print out. We want to mention the purpose that is stated on the home page:



But, we also want to make a flyer that people can take home or post at the store so they can visit the site later. If you want to help spread the word the flyer will be here on the site so you can print out and take with you to distribute anywhere you would like.

We will post all flyers made for the site and we can decide weather we would like to keep one or more flyers by vote. Send your work to the admins here at Cheshire cat studios and we will get them up for the vote.

There can be more than one winner since the vote will be up to the entire site and not just the admins / contributers. This contest will end a week before Thanksgiving that way it gives people plenty of time to work their genius on the flyer, vote, and start posting the flyers before black Friday.

Materials for any of you photoshoppers out there will be available in this thread so you can make your own banners, stickers, etc. Most of the materials will be logo work unless I have specific requests.

so they need to use your logo in the banner?

anywhere. I think this would help the site more than anything. anywhere that you think people would pick up a flyer and say "I got to check this out" would help.

I think we could get into a lot of trouble for it but, it would SO BE WORTH IT!

It would be worth doing the movie poster idea IF we actually write reviews on new movies, post them, and then post the fliers. If someone goes to the theater and sees a sign that reads MOVIE SUCKS, GO HERE TO FIND OUT WHY and they go to this site and there is nothing about this movie, then we will lose credibility.

I have an idea though: Make Cheshire Cat Studios stickers that read "before you buy, read the review" and then paste them on all the copies of a movie or game we have reviews for at your local stores.

Also we must be careful that we don't do anything that can come back and bite us. It would not be that difficult to find out who owns the site and get a lawsuit slapped on you if things get out of hand.

The idea is hilariously funny but just a word of caution. How apt is this site at hiding our identities? Some of the videos and pictures in this site name names so we have to be careful.
