There's a lot of spoilers in this review, but nothing a spoiler tag can't fix. This review is shorter, but it's not a bad thing.
I would go into more detail about WHY Miguel and Dexter become friends, and more of your thoughts on the execution of that plot point. Also, did any other parts bore you, or excite you, or surprise you (without giving away spoilers)? It's all about personalizing your own impressions.
Other than that, it's tight and concise where it needs to be. I always thought that anything outside the main plot-line is boring and irrelevant to the main story at least up until the very end (Deb's romances, Dexter's family, etc). But the writers do often find a way to tie everything together in a nice neat package.
You could always just download the episodes for Season 5 from a torrent site. Season 5 started out completely uninteresting, but by Ep 7 things are really getting thicker in a good way.

The rest of the review is okay but I can't follow the review that well because I never saw Dexter. A stronger review would actually try to convince a reader who is sitting on the fence about watching Dexter to go out and buy the dvds unconditionally and I didn't get very much of that.
When I write my occasional anime review I actually try to write a review that would pursuade people who don't accept Japanese anime into at least giving it a look. I wrote the Daft Punk Interstella 5555 review for fans of music, Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust for those who like action movies and outstanding animated movies, and I offered a review of Limbo because I was personally moved by the game.
You should try to write reviews like you are trying to convince family members to watch Dexter if they enjoy drama, horror, or investigation television shows instead of exclusively examining the plot. Additionally you should also address what it is that YOU enjoy about Dexter and even make light of what you didn't like at all.
I hope this will help you and possibly others.

Thanks for your feedback . I'm gunna implement that in the other reviews I do (Splatterhouse, Kickassia... yes, Kickassia), but for the Dexter series, I'm etching out each Season's review, and the previous seasons will be linked so that the readers can have a frame of reference; each season builds on what the previous season established.
