Enslaved: Odyssey to the West by LaughingMan

Meh... As far as video reviews go, I'm already overwhelmed with Mockbuster Mockery (I finally got my lazy ass of the couch to commence the editing of Episode 4, which I've been shamelessly postponing for weeks now ).

I could (and would love to), however, do something similar in written form, and with such neat features like articles and top tens coming soon to this site with the new editor, I might be able to fully spread my wings, if you know what I mean.

Laughingman your review turned out splendidly and you answered several of the questions I had about Odyssey to the West. I found a copy of Odyssey to the West at my local Play n Trade and the employee at the counter said that it was a very fun button masher and that doesn't sound quite that honest. You gave some colorful examples of the game mechanics but if Odyssey to the West were compared to older fighting games rather than the more popular franchises how would it rate? Additionally, the Play n Trade wanted 35 dollars for a used copy in excellent condition so is it worth my money?

Remember Final Fight and how you tapped the same punch button x-many times in a row to do a combo on your enemy? And that was basically your only combo?

It's a lot like that.

As for Play and Trade, the guy is right about it being a button masher, and it is fun as a whole, but the button mashing is NOT fun, it's trite. There's got to be somewhere that you can get a brand new copy for less than $30

But seriously check it out if the price is right, it's a decent 10-12 hour game with a great story.
