Damon Albarn has said that he has almost finished the third Gorillaz album, which is entitled 'Plastic Beach.' Since the highly successful album 'Demon Days' the band has taken a break and not released any material, but Albarn has recently said that he is putting the finishing touches to the new album. He told The Guardian: "This whole Gorillaz album, 'Plastic Beach', which is nearly finished now, started off as 'Carousel'. It's sort of about the mythical aspects of Britain." He added: "Obviously, because it's Gorillaz we've moved it to a different place, but it still maintains a lot of that melancholy."



Albarn described the album as "the most pop record I've ever made in many ways."

The singer revealed that he failed to get the famous musician Engelbert Humperdink to work on the record, Albarn said "you win some you lose some."
