Bah... snobs (myself included) have been around basically since the beginning of the film industry, so the fact that some are willing to jump on the bandwagon and reprehend something only 'cos everybody else is doing, hoping to get a small share of fame and attention, doesn't really surprise me :roll:

That fact that those ingrate illiterates wilfully blocked out all the story, character development and, you know, everything else that's great about the show, so that they could deride and berate all the violence and sex scenes, however, does :?

'God bless the snobs' I say. If it weren't for people like us they would have already made Indiana Jones 5.

LOL!

But seriously, there's a fine line between being too snobby about a movie or whatever, and being too open-minded to the point where they can stomach ANYTHING. And I agree 100% with CineMax about people who will tear something apart without atleast giving some credit to the more positive aspects. That just makes for a piss poor opinion..........

*looks back at my own past reviews*

Yup, a piss poor opinion. LOL.

@Dave
Still, if you ask me, the overly snobby snob snobs, as mentioned by LaughingMan, can be as detrimental to film/video game/comic book/music industry as the mindless ass-kissers who'd praise and drool over everything just 'cos it bares a name of a popular franchise (i.e. See Indiana Jones 4 and Star Wars Prequels/Clone Wars series).

I mean, I'm all for strict and impartial criticism as long as it's just, but if you start denouncing and naysaying even some of the greatest representatives of the industry just to draw attention to yourself and spread controversy, you might as well just paint a giant target on your nape, 'cos both the fans and professional unbiased critics alike would want to bludgeon the ever-loving crap out of you for being such a complacent ignorant twat (i.e. See the presumptuous illiterate douchebag that is Armond White).

P.S. I think I just found the topic for my first article! :D
