Top 10 Video Game Songs of All Time

This is something I caught on ScrewAttack.com and thought it was an interesting idea:

What are (in your opinion) the best 10 video game songs/themes?

Here's the rules for posting:
- You need 10 songs, themes, or whatever
- You can only pick 1 song for an entire series (can't pick 2 songs for Mario or whatever)
- You need to justify your pick with WHY you think it's one of the Top 10 of all time. Does it provoke an emotion? Does it accomplish the mood for a level? etc.
- If you can, post a link to the song. YouTube is surprisingly good at having game music posted.

The Best Is Yet to Come - Metal Gear Solid (1 & 4)
"Probably one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard in a video game. The vocals and the Celtic melody really tug at the heartstrings. Not only was it a great song to end the infamous MGS1, but when you hear it again in MGS4 you are hit with a sorrowful nostalgia for MGS1 that makes you feel Snake's own emotions. Kojima is a puppet master."

Level 4-2 - Ninja Gaiden (NES)
"Probably the first NES score that ever got my adrenaline going. The heavy riff and the beat of this level theme is the greatest song a gamer could ask for when playing as a ninja out for revenge. Run like h3ll, slash your way through ninjas, and dodge those stupid killer birds!"

Legend of Zelda Theme - Legend of Zelda
"There has yet to be a song that I would consider as EPIC as this. When you hear this theme in the background, the experience screams EPIC ADVENTURE, an experience that will follow you until the day you die."

Dr. Wiley's Castle - MegaMan 2
"This is it, the last stage. Can you feel the adrenaline pumping yet? Wait for the music to kick in, and you WILL. The techno beat underlines the surprisingly intricate score, creating what is arguably the best Megaman theme, if not the best action/sci-fi theme in any video game."

K.I. Feeling (Orchid's Theme) - Killer Instinct
"My favorite track on the Killer Cuts soundtrack. It's catchy, it's sexy, and it's got a beat. You listen to this song and you can just picture a hot Asian woman wearing skin-tight green spandex, trying to kill you with glowing nightsticks on a city rooftop... well, maybe not... But still, awesome song that fits the whole midnight rooftop fight. Listen to the lyrics and tell me it doesn't make Orchid a little sexier."

The Time Has Come - Devil May Cry 4
"The lyrics are gritty and defiant, the guitar on the chorus is shreddin', and it doesn't pause long enough to let you think as you juggle demons in the air with your pistols. Very few songs from video games would I call 'legitimate metal', and this is one that is."

Wounded Warsong - Silent Hill 4
"This song seriously CREEPS ME OUT. A sorrowful tribal drumbeat starts the song off, leading into a metallic, echoing drone, and finally leading to the meat of the song that I can't even describe. When you listen to this song, you seriously feel isolated and lost. This song is one of the definitive survival horror themes.

Guile's Theme - Super Street Fighter 2
"This is more of a nostalgic piece for me. Guile was always my favorite SF character because he's macho, he's military, and he's sporting hair that could probably cut glass. That's why I like the song: it's macho, it's military, and it kicks a$$!"

The Tragic Prince - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
"It's haunting, it's adventurous, it catchy. The guitars give it an upbeat riff to keep up the action, but the instrumental piece that coincides keeps the song gothic and 'classy'. The perfect theme for the Son of Dracula."

One Winged Angel (FFVI:AC Mix) - Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
"Yeah, not exactly a video game, but close enough. The original OWA theme was everything a good orchestral piece should be: Powerful, emotional, and inspirational. Listening to it is like your eardrums are having sex. BUT, you thought that the orchestral masterpiece that is as Godlike as Sephiroth couldn't be improved? Throw in some kickazz electric guitars that only makes the 'Final Battle' between good and evil even more epic!"

But seriously, I think the Mario theme is annoying. Memorable and distinguishable, of course, but annoying none-the-less.
