Hey folks, I might be weeks late on reporting this, but the video uploading service that 9/10 of video uploaders and TGWTG wannabes choose (Blip.TV) has officially dumped Flash conversions in favor for h.264 conversions.
Read More Here: http://theblog.blip.tv/post/1367676198/its-all-h-264-now

What does this mean?

It means that starting a few weeks ago, any and all videos uploaded to Blip.tv will be converted into not only a higher-quality codec (the Flash quality was horrible), but all newly uploaded videos are now viewable on Flash-inept devices.

In short, GameJams, Dante vs Rau, The Dirty Do Gooders, That Fellow in the Coat, and all of your favorites are now viewable on your iPhone, iPad, Playstation 3, and whatnot. Damn near any and all devices can now show new Blip.tv content. Rejoice!

I do wonder if previous versions of GameJams and the like will need to be reuploaded + converted?

DONT DO ANYTHING YET

You don't need to delete the old ones, just edit an existing one and click "new format" and upload a copy. Blip.tv should do the rest while retaining your existing stats and the existing formats. Just a heads up so you don't delete anything.

Does anybody think that videos actually look BETTER now?????

Take a look at my GameJams episode (yes, mine. conceited i know but i'm proving a point here). http://www.cheshirecatstudios.com/GameJ ... sode-8.php

The first video was Extreme-G and I remember it looking pixilated during the racing footage, but now it's pretty damn clean and crisp.

Anybody else seeing an improvement in their video quality?
