Harry Gregson-Williams scored the Narnia movies? Cool, I loved his work in the Metal Gear Solid series. Excellent military scores, but I'll have to rewatch the first Narnia movie to have an opinion on whether he can make decent fantasy music.
This new one wasn't bad but I still like the first two, especially the second "The Body" better. It's not the subject matter, since I did like the first "Princess and the Frog", and it's not the cameo with Face because she did contribute information, but the previous two episodes just felt like they had a smoother flow with more subtle 'Bill Murray' style of humor that kept the show rolling instead of breaking the momentum for "Sweeties" jokes.
But that's just my input. Still excellent production values, excellent analysis, and still a series that's worth my time to watch. I'm sending you a PM.

He also helped compose the music for the "Shrek" series, Antz, Team America: World Police, Chicken Run, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas and most recently, Arthur Christmas. He's certainly a composer that deserves more recognition, I think.

A major step back in terms of quality, sorry. My cynicism alert went off literally in the first fifteen seconds once I've realized this was going to be a crossover episode. I've nothing against co-hosts (for the most part, that is) as long as they contribute something useful to the show; and while, like LaughingMan's said, Face Nelson did have some interesting things to say about both the films and the books, I've also seen enough "team-up" reviews in my days to know full well that more often than not these usually dissolve into unfunny skits that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject matter between the two. And guess what, I was right. Look, nothing personal against Face Nelson — I'm sure she's a nice gal and all. But please understand this, I came here to watch you discuss The Chronicles of Narnia, not crack in-jokes with another Mr. Coat and Friends contributor that the majority will most likely not understand or, more importantly, care about since, again, that's not what we came here for. Speaking about jokes, I still believe you should omit them all together since this isn't a comedy show but rather a serious, in-depth analysis/comparison of books and their film adaptation, but that's just me, so I'll let it slide. What I will reproach you for, though, is for putting those bloody things, like, every thirty seconds. No seriously, this is how this entire episode went for me: You start talking about this or that character. I get fully engrossed and listen attentively to practically every word. You're about to say something important... *BAM!* There's a silly joke. I roll my eyes from irritation. Later I proceed to once again get absorbed into the flow of the episode, only to—you guessed it—get catapulted out of it by another silly skit. I'm telling you, my friend, drop the jokes. Or at very least don't put them in so often, 'cos believe it or not, it's not the humor that keeps us coming back. Look, I've said it before and I'm willing to repeat it again. You're good at analyzing, so why not amplify the strongest side of your work instead of burring it under a ton of unnecessary, if not even highly irritating at times, distractors like jokes and skits? You've got a sharp eye for details and a natural talent of a great story-teller. Just stick to what makes your show so great, 'cos otherwise, if you continue to cram it with unnecessary crap, I dread one day From Pages to Pictures may loose all of its originality and charm and turn into another, well, TGWTG-style review show, complete with gratuitous cameos and "epic" living-room battle scenes at the end.

I never got past the first Narnia movie. It's not because of the Christian themes I don't care about that because I'm not a whiny atheist. I thought that the movie wasn't that special in a Golden Compass way. It just wasn't something that really drew me in. It's probably because it's a movie geared towards children where the violence of the battles are scaled back and the movies loses its sense of danger.

Jaimetud has created another enjoyable and educational video. It did appear, however, that the humor over stayed its welcome in places. I do like videos that are fun to watch compared to straight laced and serious work but a few of the jokes diverted too much attention from the movies and books. The experience is similar to watching an interesting film on the Discovery Channel while a disobedient child waves his hands in the air in order to steal away your attention. Regardless I did feel that the ending an appropriate Narnia tribute and very heartwarming for fans of the books and films.

Glad to see the mix of criticisms on this one. Laughingman, you had a PM to send me?
