This isn't really something wrong with Doug's lingering work (there's already plenty of other things wrong with it), but it's a lot of 'internal politics' that gives TGWTG an air of suspicion. My guess is that the 'new talent' could have been the horrible new shows cropping up lately (Distressed Watcher, anyone?).
Just get it out in the air, say what happened, and quit pretending that Rizzo didn't ever exist. He was a shitty reviewer, but he did contribute to TGWTG second only to the AVGN. ZING! Rizzo was actually kind of a douchebag, based on my experience with him from when I was posting my videos in the blog section. He was also responsible for the bringing on of Epic Fail and the massive influx of video game reviewers. Some of the better contributors to the site (Linkara, Nostalgia Chick, Shameful Sequels) were definitely not brought on board during his dictatorship...uh...I mean, moderation. Not to say Michaud hasn't brought a lot of crummy people on-board (Bad Movie Beatdown and a whole dumptruck of others), but Rizzo definitely wasn't any better.

I'm not saying bring him back, but to just quit it with all the controversy and just say what happened and be done with all of it. So he was just a controlling jerk? Never talked to the guy or anything, so I wouldn't know. I just know he assembled Channel Awesome. Was he dissing you when you were posting your videos or something?

Yeah, pretty much. But, he's gone now and thankfully he hasn't annoyed me since.

Adding a pencil-sketch video filter doesn't make you a reviewer, in my not-so-humble opinion. Also, on Rizzo's YouTube channel there are some really nasty comments calling out Rizzo that are hilarious. They might give you a laugh.

I dunno, I heard from LegendaryBadass (whose site I contribute my vids to) that he was IP-banned from the whole shebang.
