  • DC's Annual Trouble review by vivvav

    DC's Annual Trouble

    Review by vivvav : February 13, 2013

An Annual's just a good ol' romp with the characters you love. Maybe something from their past, maybe something from their future. A speculative look at an alternate version, or just a fun idea the author had. This is the charm of Annuals. And this is what DC hasn't been doing lately.

  • I, Vampire review by vivvav

    I, Vampire

    Review by vivvav : November 11, 2012

This is how vampires should be... These are classic, Bram Stoker vampires we're talking about here. Very specific ways to kill them, do not die in sunlight, and they can shape shift into all manner of things. At the same time, the book does make up some of its own rules, as any good vampire story should, but without getting too ludicrous about it.

  • New 52 Wave 3 Rundown review by vivvav

    New 52 Wave 3 Rundown

    Review by vivvav : September 30, 2012

Back in June, DC announced a third wave to occur this September, which was Zero Month. Four books would be launched... I have read all of these books, and decided to give a rundown on them.

  • New 52 Static Shock review by vivvav

    New 52 Static Shock

    Review by vivvav : September 23, 2012

The characters in New 52 Static Shock are really bland and generic, the writing is terrible and clichéd, and knowing what I now know about what happened behind the scenes, it was clearly doomed from the start. Do not buy New 52 Static Shock. Don't even pirate it. Just avoid it.

  • Deadman: Twenty Questions review by vivvav

    Deadman: Twenty Questions

    Review by vivvav : September 17, 2012

Without a doubt, Deadman 20 Questions would not work so well if Deadman were not the main character. Deadman is the most interesting and relatable character in the DC Universe.

  • New 52 Wonder Woman review by vivvav

    New 52 Wonder Woman

    Review by vivvav : September 3, 2012

When you get down to it, it's very simple: Wonder Woman is a Modern Greek Epic.

  • Batman: The Court of Owls review by vivvav

    Batman: The Court of Owls

    Review by vivvav : August 27, 2012

The signal shining in the sky serves as a constant reminder to criminals that there are consequences for villainy, and while Gotham may still have the highest crime rate in the nation, it also stays at its lowest crime rate in recent history. But as with all places, Gotham has myths. And now one of those myths is coming to challenge Batman's claim to the city.

  • Freddy vs Jason vs Ash: The Nightmare Warriors review by Kenny Farino

Freddy vs Jason vs Ash: The Nightmare Warriors

Review by Kenny Farino : September 13, 2009

The one thing I could find that was really a complaint so far was the beginning of the first issue after Jason gets loose. Nightmares, domestic life, and tons of things going on at once. For instance, I have no idea where this comes from, but somebody is watching "Army of Darkness" in the theaters. Suddenly, the Deadite General is replaced by Freddy. Then we never see it again. What the hell? Despite a shakily confusing beginning that requires a few reads, I can't really find anything else to complain about so far!

Cheshire Cat Studios is the home of what we hope is a mix of artistic integrity and dry humour. We share a passion on movies, games and other mediums but are looking to spread our reach into more original content in the future: investigative videos, satirical comedies, and animated podcasts. We like to think that we approach topics with a down to earth, analytical viewpoint and don't play favorites. Hopefully this reflects in our articles, reviews, videos, and our ethos as a site.
