Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2
(Nintendo Wii)

A MUST have party game for the Nintendo Wii

By Zimes

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2

When the Wii first came out I had no intentions of getting it. Lets be real, it's a kids console with a new way of controlling how you play any game. For the most part you don't hear people saying great stuff about it. None of the really interesting games are preferred on the Wii. True that most of the interesting games are not made for the Wii but still it's a gimmick. A really good selling awesome gimmick.

They did everything right with the Wii regardless of what games are to be played; almost everyone wants one or has one. I did break and bought a Wii and have never regretted that purchase. I went and maxed out my controllers, got a few games that I knew I would like and experimented with a few more that turned out to be fun. I owned one of the first generation Nintendo systems and have been a loyal customer to Nintendo ever since. It is good way of doing business is to catch and addict the kids because when they grow up they will be good paying customers. An example of this is McDonalds. Anyone else remember ANY other food chain's kid's meal, mascot, or food when they were growing up? Me either, I always wanted McDonalds because it was fun. Same thing applies to Nintendo. I will always want Nintendo because it is fun. This game that I am about to review, is fun.

Raving Rabbids - Bunny Assassins Creed

I never got into any of the Rayman games when they were coming out. I ended up looking at them and thinking they were a knock off of Mario games and really didn't pay any more attention to them until my brother showed my one that was on the Xbox 360. I ended up playing this mini game that was slapping the crap out of funky looking rabbits who were trying to ad-lib on a song. It was sick and wrong and I was laughing so hard that I had to go take a leak before I pissed myself. The Raving Rabbids that came out for the Wii (I think there are 3 now. 2 original and one that you can play with the Wii fit) has so many mini games it is hard to be bored with the game.

Raving Rabbids - Cell Phone Theater

If I were to sum this game up in a few words it would be: A bunch of fun mini-games. And that is basically what Raving Rabbids 2 is. Now with any game that is fun, it puts the mini-games into a bunch "Trips" (Like you are going to take a trip to England). They only give you a few games in each trip and to unlock more trips and games you must play the first ones you have and so on. They do not make it retardedly redundant where you want to give up on Raving Rabbids 2 if it does not unlock but, as soon as you finish another trip you usually unlock a mini game that you did not have before in that trip. Once you have the games that you want you can make your own trip that you want to take (picking out the mini games that you like basically) and you can save those for later.

One of my favorite mini-games in Raving Rabbids 2 is the one where you take a car trip with other Rabbids. Who remembers going on a trip with their parents? Who remembers the Dad threatening to beat the kids if they don't settle down? Ever wonder what would happen if he did beat the kids? Well, this mini-game lets you beat the kids. You have two rows of 4 bunnies in the back, some are good, and some are bouncing off the seat. You must slap the crap out of them before they settle down to get them to behave. If you slap a good kid you loose points, slap a bad kid you get points. The one with the most points wins! By the end of Raving Rabbids 2 you are just slapping everyone and you get the choir of crying and gibbering.

There is a LOT of other fun mini games like hot potato, cell phone talking in the theater, throwing paper wads at the teacher, fart flying, and destruction of Paris by burping. While me mentioning the above sounds funny, doing it actually is more fun and the more people involved the better.

ANISTHETIC!!! Someone get a hotdog!

OVERALL

This is a MUST have for party games if you have the Wii. If you have the Wii and don’t have this game, next time you buy games this better be in your buy pile. If I had to pick 10 games to take with me to play for the rest of my life this would be on the list just for comic relief.

Graphics

7.0

It is not the best and let’s face it: it's on the Wii. This game does not require it to look pretty but, it’s not an eye sore either.

Sound

7.0

It’s what you would expect from a game like this but it’s nothing outstanding.

Gameplay

9.5

With 2 different settings you are able to play like a newb or have some more contexts to the mini-games by going up in expertise. Controls are not hard and fun to play.

Story

7.0

I guess there is a story but I really don’t care.

Replay Value

10

That’s right a 10. I will be playing this game again. I guarantee it. It was worth the $40 I paid for it new a year ago, it's worth it to pick it up.

OVERALL

8.5

Get this game if you have the Wii. Invite your friends over and have a blast.

RRR2 is a good party game and it doesnt get the credit it rightly deserves.
I think IGN gave it like a 6.3 or somethin. "Passable" they called it. But the thing with the big reviewers is that if the develoer hooked the reviewers up with money or hoes they would jump the score up 2 full points.
Your review is more reliable.

Although the Magazine companies do come out with good info I trust none of their game reviews because every single one of them is bought. I rather find reviews like this to see how the game is going to be. Trust me, I won't sugar-coat things. If it sucks I will let you know. Thanks for the kudos.

Nah, best party game on the Wii is now Wii Sports Resort. You get swordfighting, skydiving, waverunning, and archery PLUS all the tidbits from the original Wii Sports. It's not as humorous but it is a much tighter package. My biggest complaint is that Nintendo cant resist forcing gamers to buy the little adaptor for every WiiMote you want to use with Resort. A cheap console but quickly becomes expensive.

Sorry Mikey, the reason for the game is the comic relief witch puts this game far above the Sports resort. You only need the chuck with the remote (sometimes) and its nothing new to buy with the Wii. I just played it the other night with the kids. still fun. still awesome.
