    So apparently FOX has decided to cancel the wide release of Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs for the US. Now the movie will only be screening on 27 screens nationwide (as far as the US release goes).

    Apparently the reasoning for this is that FOX felt that a PG-13 rated animated film “wouldn’t sell to a wide audience”.
    Yeah so basically cut losses by limiting the domestic release of the film to such a minuscule number that the movie will be more likely to lose much more money. “Smart”………

    Quick correction on the whole Isle of Dogs theatrical release. Apparently the wide release was merely delayed to April 6th, while they basically just took the original release date and are using those for limited screenings. This was something I somehow missed in the article I posted.
    My bad……….
