A couple of months ago, my friend introduced me to the game Yandere Simulator. In this game’s case, I’m posting not because of my opinion of the game, but rather because of how Twitch has decided to ban his creation and then refuse to answer any questions by the developer. Whether or not the game is ‘good’ or your cup of tea, it’s disgusting that the developer is powerless to do anything, and that Twitch can effectively prevent people from discovering the game.

    Figures…
Didn’t Twitch also try to ban Let’s Plays of HATRED The Game as well (yeah, remember that “controversial” game).

Yeah, they actually did, by saying no Adult-Only Rated games may be streamed, which is only three games (one of which has a mature rated version that Twitch openly says it’s fine with, and the other also has an M rated version). Essentially, Yandere Dev may have hit the nail on the head by remarking that Twitch may have been taken over by those people.

The types of people who find porn or AO games entirely offensive despite Twitch allowing other violent games that are far worst than those?

Actually, he was very specific to say ‘feminists’, or ‘warriors fighting the good fight’ while showing some very poignant clips of ‘brave’ women. Specifically, in the video he shows this around the nine minute mark.

I watched the video a couple of days ago.

He makes a very compelling case to the point that you wonder if Twitch is being rude/incompetent (in this case, it seems like both).

I hope the issue gets resolved soon but this could happen to anyone for any arbitrary reason.

A developer friend of mine (who I’m working on a game with) actually forwarded this video to any Twitch contact she could find.

I hope the company gets the message that they are alienating their consumer base when they pull stuff like this.

That’s what I was referring too as well. Still, these types of people sicken me to death. We all know why, so I won’t bother going on a tiresome rant.
